WeGather
Help us help them

WeGather is a Zgharta-based initiative that started in December 2019.

Apalled by the inflation rate that rose aggressively due to the unprecedented economic crisis in Lebanon, we were driven by the initial goal of providing families in need with food parcels that would get them through the month.

But now, given the Coronavirus lockdown, their struggles in making ends meet are increasing. People who live out of what they make per day, amongst others, are unable to attend their jobs.

Not to mention the current high unemployment rate – that is expected to grow exponentially with all the companies and institutions on the edge of bankruptcy.

All in all, getting access to food has become incredibly challenging at this time.

The number of people reaching out to us is alarming. We are now at a point where we are being forced to help the most urgent situations because we don’t have the capacity to help each and every one of them. And that is the most difficult task we have encountered.

We have helped regions mainly located in Casa Zgharta since the recent start of our activity, but we definitely wish to expand our impact to areas whose voices are not always heard, to the extent on our possibilities and the assistance we receive.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you and hope you could help us help them.

Give WeGather a push by sharing their action.
